 
Athena High Technology visits Sophia Antipolis in France
Nicosia, Cyprus - June 5, 2004. Under a Visting Scheme grant by PAXIS, the 'Research & Innovation Programme" managed by DG Enterprise under the 6th Framework Programme, Athena High Technology Incubator visited the Antipolis Innovation Campus at Sophia Antipolis in France. The visit took place on June 3rd and 4th and was hosted by the CICOM Organization which has under management the Antipolis Innovation Campus and also coordinates the HIGHEST Network, one of the thematic networks of the PAXIS program.
During the visit, a two day workshop took place which had as an objective the transfer of experiences and the lessons drawn between regions. One of PAXIS main targets is to develop a learning process among the European regions. This is based on the concept that PAXIS regions of excellence are available to provide their expertise to regions or economic areas interested, mainly from the New Member States or the newly associated Members.
